Adidas Pickleball Paddles India — Metalbone LP Team & Metalbone 2025
Adidas brings the Metalbone identity — their most technically advanced padel racquet line, used by Ale Galán on the Premier Padel Tour — to pickleball. Both paddles in the range are performance-grade carbon fiber constructions built around Adidas’s engineering standards: genuine spin-generating surface technology (Spin Blade Max, titanium spin grid), structural rigidity (monocoque carbon frame), and ergonomics designed for serious competitive play.
The two paddles serve different playing profiles — the Metalbone LP Team is the all-court customisable option, the Metalbone 2025 is the speed and spin specialist. Understanding which profile matches your game is the key purchase decision. Both are available at God of Sports, dispatched from Mumbai with pan-India delivery. Adidas Metalbone LP Team — All-Court Customisable
Construction and Technologies
The Metalbone LP Team is built around three key engineering decisions:
16mm LP Core: Low-Density Polypropylene honeycomb at 16mm thickness provides significant dwell time — the ball stays on the face fractionally longer during contact, giving players more time to shape the direction and trajectory of their shot. This is what makes the LP Team excellent for dinking at the kitchen line and precise placement on drives. The 16mm depth also means a larger effective sweet spot than a 13–14mm paddle, making off-centre hits more forgiving and consistent.
Raw Carbon Fiber + Spin Blade Max: The face is raw carbon fiber — a rough, unfinished surface that grips the ball aggressively at contact for excellent spin generation. Adidas’s Spin Blade Max coating enhances this natural carbon texture further, maximising the surface’s ability to bite into the ball and generate topspin, slice, and sidespin on command. For Indian pickleball players developing a spin-based game, this surface delivers real tactical options.
Four-Screw Weight and Balance System: This is the most distinctive feature of the LP Team in the Indian market. Two weight plates (1.8g each) sit inside the frame, and each plate can mount two washers (0.6g each) and two screws (1.3g each) — a total adjustment range of up to 11.2g. Moving the weights to the top of the paddle shifts balance toward the head for more power and smash weight on overheads and drives. Moving the weights lower shifts balance toward the grip for more control and faster hand speed at the kitchen. Removing all weights creates the lightest, most maneuverable configuration. Most paddles force you to choose one balance at purchase — the LP Team lets you choose every session. An Allen key is included.
Monocoque Carbon Frame: The frame runs continuously from handle base to paddle edges, providing torsional rigidity that prevents the paddle from twisting on off-centre hits — maintaining accuracy on imperfect contacts during fast exchanges.
Power Extra Grip Handle: 5.5-inch handle length accommodates two-handed backhands — increasingly common in competitive Indian pickleball as players develop from a tennis background.

Adidas Metalbone 2025 — Speed and Spin
Construction and Technologies
The Metalbone 2025 takes a fundamentally different engineering approach — built for players who want the fastest possible response at the net and maximum spin on drives.
14.5mm Carbon-Titanium Hybrid Core: Where the LP Team uses a standard polypropylene core at 16mm, the Metalbone 2025 infuses titanium into the carbon fiber face construction. This titanium spin grid creates a denser surface structure that grips the ball more aggressively than standard carbon, amplifying spin RPM on every contact. The 14.5mm thin-core profile shortens dwell time compared to the LP Team — the ball exits the face faster, producing a sharper, more explosive pop on drives and punch volleys. This is the Metalbone 2025’s primary advantage: speed of ball exit and spin on attack shots.
Reduced Swing Weight: The 14.5mm thin core reduces the paddle’s overall weight distribution toward the head, making the Metalbone 2025 faster to accelerate through the swing. For players who live at the kitchen in fast hand battles, milliseconds of additional swing speed matter — the Metalbone 2025’s lighter swing profile lets players redirect volleys and engage in hand battles faster than they could with a thicker-core paddle.
Monocoque Carbon Frame: Same torsionally rigid frame construction as the LP Team — consistent feel across the paddle face, no twisting on off-centre contacts.
Optimised Shape: 16 inches long by 7.5 inches wide — a slightly elongated profile that provides good reach on wide balls while maintaining a centred sweet spot. Power Extra Grip 5.5-inch handle for two-handed backhand compatibility.
