Michelin — the world’s leading tyre engineering company whose rubber compounds grip Formula One circuits at 300km/h — collaborated with Babolat specifically for the Jet Premura and Sensa Women outsoles. The herringbone Michelin rubber pattern is engineered for artificial grass padel court traction: the same AG surface used on most padel courts in India across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad.

The 2024/25 generation adds the Jet Premura 2 — lighter, more breathable, and designed with Indian summer conditions in mind. The original Jet Premura continues as the tight-fit performance option. The Sensa Women is designed around women’s foot geometry with brand-specific last construction. The Babolat Jet Premura 2 is the updated flagship — successor to the original Jet Premura with meaningful upgrades across three dimensions:

• Matryx EVO fabric: Lighter and more breathable than the original’s Matryx SL. The EVO construction maintains structural support while significantly reducing shoe weight and improving airflow — particularly relevant for extended Indian summer sessions
• Enhanced ventilation: Two large ventilation areas on the upper, plus a perforated insole that pushes air through the shoe on every step. More airflow than any previous Babolat padel shoe
• Michelin outsole + KPRSX cushioning: Retained from the original — same herringbone AG grip engineering, same EVA heel insert for shock absorption during jumps and rapid direction changes

Jet Premura (Original) — Tight Performance Fit

The original Babolat Jet Premura remains available — preferred by players who like a snug, locked-in performance fit for aggressive defensive play and stability-first padel. The Matryx SL upper is more structured than the Premura 2’s EVO fabric, providing a firmer lateral hold during explosive side-to-side movements. The Michelin herringbone outsole, KPRS-X cushioning, and 360° Flex Grooves are identical to the Premura 2. Many players who play aggressive backcourt defense specifically prefer the original’s tighter fit — the Premura 2 is not a straight upgrade for everyone.

Babolat Sensa Women — Women’s Padel Shoe

The Babolat Sensa Women is built on a women’s-specific last — a different internal shoe shape to the Jet Premura that provides the natural support positioning women’s foot geometry requires. Women who wear the Jet Premura typically find it runs slightly wide and lacks the heel containment that the Sensa’s construction provides. The Sensa uses the same Michelin herringbone outsole as the Jet Premura range for identical AG court traction. Side straps for midfoot security during the wide lateral movements of padel play.
