"A slim, stiff smasher — precise when your swing is right."

The Hundred Z Tronic 100 is built, in Hundred's words, for high-performance smashes and relentless attacks. It pairs a head-heavy 308mm balance point and an 83g frame with an ultra-thin 6.2mm Vaporshaft XXS and a stiff shaft for precision and control. Hyper Weave carbon fibre and M46X Nano Graphite give the frame its rigidity, and CNTRL Foam inside the frame absorbs shock.

The slim shaft cuts through the air and the stiff flex sends a fast swing straight into the shuttle, so smashes are steep, heavy and accurate. The honest limitation is that it gives little back to a slow or late swing, and like every head-heavy racket it is slower to reset in defence and fast flat exchanges. For advanced attackers with good technique, it is a precise power racket at its GOS price point, with a high 32 lbs tension ceiling.

What is the
Z Tronic 100?

01 / 08

The Hundred Z Tronic 100 is a head-heavy attacking racket from Hundred, built around Hundred's ultra-thin 6.2mm Vaporshaft XXS. Hundred describes it as packing serious power without sacrificing agility, with every detail designed to maximise attacking performance. At GOS it comes in two colourways, White/Gold and Black/White, both in 4U.

Where Hundred's Nitrix 70 Volta uses a flexible shaft to make power easier, the Z Tronic 100 goes the other way: a stiff, very slim shaft that rewards a fast, well-timed swing with a direct, precise response. A 308mm balance point keeps plenty of weight in the head for heavy smashes from the rear court.

The Z Tronic 100's defining decision is to combine an ultra-thin 6.2mm shaft with stiff flex in a head-heavy frame. The slim shaft lowers air resistance so the head comes through faster; the stiff flex means nothing is lost to bending. The result is a steep, accurate smash — as long as the player supplies the swing speed, because the shaft adds very little whip of its own.

breakdown

A slim, stiff shaft — why not a flexible one, like the Nitrix 70 Volta?

Z Tronic 100 — Stiff 6.2mm Vaporshaft XXS

Wrist Exit Direct · instant response
✓ Precise, heavy smash

Alternative — Flexible shaft (Nitrix 70 Volta)

Wrist Exit Whip assist · easier timing
Easier, but less direct
Feel
CNTRL Foam

A shock-absorbing foam inside the frame that keeps hits smooth and stable, taking the harshness out of a stiff, head-heavy frame.

Frame

Zone-by-zone assessment

Zone Rating Performance Assessment
Smashes 92 Exceptional The racket's identity. The 308mm balance puts weight behind the shuttle, the slim shaft speeds up the head, and the stiff flex sends it all into a steep, accurate smash.
Control 86 Exceptional The stiff shaft barely bends, so the face goes where the swing sends it. Placement on smashes and drops is precise for a consistent hitter.
Flat drives 84 Good Drives are direct and heavy once the racket is moving. In very fast exchanges the head weight shows.
Net play 81 Good Net kills are heavy and clean. Quick net exchanges need early preparation because of the head weight.
Maneuverability 79 Good The slim shaft helps the racket move through the air, but a 308mm balance point is still slower than an even or head-light frame in flat rallies.
Defence 78 Good Honest limitation. Blocks are stable, but the head-heavy frame is slow to reset against repeated smashes, and the stiff shaft gives little help on short-swing lifts.

Real on-court situations

Situation Level What the player feels
Full rear-court smash Exceptional Steep, heavy and accurate. This is the shot the Z Tronic 100 is built for.
Smash on a short lift Exceptional Direct and precise — easy to aim at the body or the tramlines.
Deep clear with a full swing Exceptional Reaches the baseline cleanly when the swing is complete.
Smash from a late, off-balance position Good The stiff shaft gives back less here. A flexible frame like the Nitrix 70 Volta is more forgiving.
Net kill on a loose reply Exceptional Heavy and decisive when the racket is up early.
Fast flat exchange in doubles Good Keeps up, but the head mass is noticeable as the exchange speeds up.
Defending repeated steep smashes Good Stable on contact, but slower to get back into position than an even-balance racket.
