"Li-Ning's crispest smash — thin, stiff and direct."

The Axforce 100 sits at the top of Li-Ning's Axforce attacking series. Li-Ning builds it to maximise the impact of attacks, with complete and direct power transmission in every shot: a head-heavy balance, a stiff shaft only 6.0mm thick to cut air drag, and a Dynamic Optimum Frame. Li-Ning says both shaft and head have minimal vibration and distortion, for a crisp, mighty feel and easy shot placement.

On court that means heavy, steep smashes with very little lost between swing and shuttle, and precise placement for a player who hits cleanly. The honest limitation is that it asks for a fast, well-timed swing: the stiff shaft gives little help when you are late, and like every head-heavy racket it is slower to reset in defence. For advanced attackers who already generate their own power, the Axforce 100 is a flagship worth its GOS price point.

What is the
Axforce 100?

01 / 08

The Li-Ning Axforce 100 is the flagship of Li-Ning's Axforce series, its line of head-heavy attacking rackets. Li-Ning rates it for professional-level attacking players and calls it "the ultimate" for players chasing the latest technology. At GOS it comes in two colourways, Black/Gold and Storm Green, both in 4U.

Its headline feature is the shaft: just 6.0mm thick, which Li-Ning says significantly reduces air drag and allows a quick response, set at stiff flex. Combined with head-heavy balance, it is built so that heavy hits keep their quality with minimal loss of tail speed — the shuttle stays fast all the way to the floor.

The Axforce 100's defining decision is an extremely thin, stiff shaft in a head-heavy frame. The thin shaft lets the head come through faster; the stiff flex means very little energy is lost to bending; the head weight adds momentum. The result is a crisp, direct, heavy smash — for a player whose swing is fast and well-timed enough to drive it.

Pro player: Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark, men's doubles) — former world #1 with Kim Astrup, 2023 World Championships silver medallist and two-time European Champion, plays with the Axforce 100.

Frame
Dynamic Optimum Frame

Li-Ning's frame shape, shared across its performance rackets, paired here with a head-heavy balance to add momentum to smashes and clears.

Power
Minimal loss of tail speed

Li-Ning's design goal for heavy hits: the shuttle keeps its speed late in its flight, so smashes stay fast all the way to the floor and are harder to defend.

Zone-by-zone assessment

Zone Rating Performance Assessment
Smashes 94 Exceptional The racket's identity. Head weight, a thin shaft for head speed and stiff flex for direct transmission combine for a heavy, steep smash that keeps its pace late in flight.
Control 88 Exceptional Minimal shaft and head distortion means the face goes where the swing sends it. Placement is precise for a consistent hitter.
Flat drives 86 Exceptional Drives are direct and heavy once the racket is moving, and the thin shaft helps the head through the air.
Net play 83 Good Net kills are heavy and clean. Quick net exchanges need early preparation because of the head weight.
Maneuverability 81 Good The 6.0mm shaft keeps it moving faster than its balance suggests, but it is still slower than an even or head-light frame in flat rallies.
Defence 79 Good Honest limitation. Blocks are stable, but the head-heavy frame is slow to reset against repeated smashes, and the stiff shaft gives little help on short-swing lifts.

Real on-court situations

Situation Level What the player feels
Full rear-court smash Exceptional Crisp, heavy and steep. This is the shot the Axforce 100 is built for.
Follow-up smash in a doubles attack Exceptional The thin shaft gets the head back through quickly for the next smash.
Deep clear with a full swing Exceptional Reaches the baseline cleanly when the swing is complete.
Smash from a late, off-balance position Good The stiff shaft gives back less here. The Axforce 90's medium flex is more forgiving.
Net kill on a loose reply Exceptional Heavy and decisive when the racket is up early.
Fast flat exchange in doubles Good Keeps up well for a head-heavy racket, but the head mass is noticeable as the exchange speeds up.
Defending repeated steep smashes Good Stable on contact, but slower to get back into position than an even-balance racket.

String
recommendations

07 / 08

All recommendations sit inside the Axforce 100's 30 lbs ceiling (4U). A stiff frame suits mid-to-high tension for control, but there is no need to string at the limit.
