Manchester United has been aiming to reduce the wage bill to facilitate incoming transfer and hence Sancho has been a point of contention, with the management trying to finalize his exit. Jadon Sancho has been on loan at Borussia Dortmund for most of the second half of the last season and is only interested in sanctioning a permanent move or a loan with an obligation to buy clause.

On a more positive note, it appears that Manchester United are successful in securing the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain at a deal worth £60m including all performance bonus. Ugarte only wanted United and United only wanted him. Ugarte has already accepted personal terms, and both teams have reportedly ironed out the details of this transfer making a deal worth £50.7m (£60m), regarded as a key move to boost the midfield.
