Coco Gauff Eyes Business Ventures Inspired by Beyoncé and Rihanna
Coco Gauff, the reigning US Open champion, has hinted at her aspirations to follow in the footsteps of business-savvy celebrities like Beyoncé and Rihanna. While her focus remains on tennis, Gauff expressed her admiration for their ability to leverage their fame into successful ventures.
“I would love to hear how Rihanna started Fenty Beauty,” Gauff said. “She provided a full shade range of foundation for all skin tones, and I’m curious about how she navigated the business side of things.”
Gauff’s off-court profile has soared since her breakout performance at the 2019 Wimbledon Championships. She has graced the cover of Vogue, been named one of TIME magazine’s Women of the Year, and attended a gala in Hollywood where she mingled with renowned women from various industries.
“It was really cool to be surrounded by incredible women,” Gauff said. “I wasn’t expecting to make the list, but it was a huge honor.”
On the court, Gauff is preparing to bid farewell to her teenage years at the BNP Paribas Open. She will team up with Jessica Pegula in doubles and face Lucia Bronzetti in the third round of singles.
While Gauff’s entrepreneurial ambitions may not materialize immediately, she acknowledges that they could become a reality later in her career. “I don’t know in what world that would be in,” she said. “I love beauty and fashion, so maybe something in that world. But I’m not planning on starting anything anytime soon.”
Gauff’s journey has been marked by both on-court success and off-court recognition. As she approaches her 20th birthday, she continues to inspire and empower young athletes and fans alike.
