Squash Racquets India — All Brands, All Levels
Squash is one of India’s fastest-growing racquet sports — with strong club communities in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai, and the sport making its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games. God of Sports is India’s largest dedicated squash retailer, stocking the four brands that cover every level of Indian squash play: HEAD for beginners through advanced, Tecnifibre for competitive club and world tour calibre, Dunlop for intermediate development and mid-range performance, and Prince for power-first attacking players.
Every racquet is carbon graphite or Hyperfibre construction — never aluminium. All dispatched from Mumbai with pan-India delivery. Read our complete Best Squash Racquet India 2026 guide for detailed analysis and our How to Choose a Squash Racquet guide for framework and context.
Understanding Squash Racquet Specs Before Buying
Weight: Most squash racquets fall between 110–145g. Lighter racquets (110–125g) swing faster for better maneuverability in tight squash rallies. Heavier racquets (130g+) provide more mass behind the ball for depth and pace. Most Indian club players start around 130g and progress to lighter frames as technique improves.
Balance: Head-heavy balance generates power with less physical effort — the head leads the swing. Head-light balance prioritises maneuverability and front-court speed — the frame recovers faster between shots. Even balance suits all-round play and most beginners and intermediate players.
Head size: Larger heads (105–115 sq in) give bigger sweet spots — essential for beginners. Smaller heads (95–105 sq in) provide tighter control for advanced players whose contact is already precise.
Frame material: Graphite composite is the minimum for proper squash play. Aluminium is cheaper but transmits wrist-damaging vibration and cannot provide the feedback squash requires. Hyperfibre (Dunlop) and Carboflex (Tecnifibre) are premium graphite-composite constructions for performance play. Never buy aluminium regardless of price.
String pattern: Closed throat (oval, bridge at the top) gives tighter string bed, better control, more linear feel. Open throat (teardrop, no bridge) gives more string movement, livelier response, bigger sweet spot — better for beginners and intermediates.
