Taylor Fritz Ditches Blonde Hair, Returns to Dark Roots
Taylor Fritz, the world’s sixth-ranked tennis player, has reverted to his natural dark hair color after a brief experiment with platinum blonde. The US Open finalist unveiled his new look on Instagram, captioning it “We’re so back.”
Fritz had debuted his blonde hair at DJ Kygo’s show at the Hollywood Bowl in mid-October. He later revealed that he had been considering the change for years and had finally decided to go for it.
“I’ve polled it every year at Australian Open,” Fritz said. “I thought it was funny, and I expected to just buzz it if I hated it, but I don’t hate it.”
However, Fritz’s blonde hair proved to be a polarizing choice among tennis fans. Some found it amusing, while others expressed their disapproval. Fritz himself found the reactions “hilarious.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Fritz’s blonde hair did not seem to affect his performance on the court. He qualified for his second career appearance at the year-end Nitto ATP Finals in Turin after losing in the second round of the Rolex Paris Masters.
