Andrey Rublev Launches Charity Foundation to Aid Children in Need
Andrey Rublev, the world-renowned tennis star, has embarked on a noble mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of children in need. The launch of his eponymous charity foundation, the Andrey Rublev Foundation, marks a significant milestone in his philanthropic endeavors.
The foundation’s primary objective is to provide critical medical assistance to children suffering from various illnesses. Rublev, who has been fortunate to enjoy a successful tennis career and good health, believes it is his responsibility to extend a helping hand to those less fortunate.
The initial funding for the foundation has been generously provided by the proceeds from Rublev’s clothing brand, Rublo. The “Play for the Kids” collection, launched in December, has already raised over $150,000 USD.
Rublev’s inspiration for establishing the foundation stems from his experiences as an ambassador for Dubai-based Medcare and Aster Pharmacy. Witnessing the challenges faced by children in need of medical care, he felt compelled to take action.
“I thought that maybe now is the best moment to start a foundation for it, since I’m already moving in that direction,” Rublev said. “The attention will be focused on kids that need treatment, various medicines.”
The foundation’s focus will extend beyond financial assistance to include partnerships with trusted clinics and organizations. Rublev aims to ensure that the children receive the best possible care and support.
“I hope that I’ll manage to help, at least with something,” Rublev said.
Rublev’s commitment to giving back is evident in his recent actions. Following a controversial default at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, he appealed to have his prize money and ranking points returned. The funds were subsequently donated to charity.
Rublev’s philanthropic efforts have been met with widespread praise and support. His dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of children is a testament to his character and compassion.
