Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the legendary Indian cricketer, continues to inspire unwavering devotion among his fans. One such fan recently went to extraordinary lengths to witness Dhoni in action, spending a staggering Rs 64,000 on black market tickets for a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
The fan, a father of three daughters, expressed his unwavering admiration for Dhoni, stating, “I didn’t get the tickets, so I bought them in black. It was a total of Rs 64,000. I am yet to pay the school fees. But we wanted to see MS Dhoni just once. My three daughters and I are very happy.”
One of the fan’s daughters echoed her father’s sentiments, saying, “My father has worked very hard to get these tickets. We were very happy when Dhoni came to play.”
The incident has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some criticizing the fan’s decision to prioritize seeing Dhoni over his children’s education. However, others have defended the fan’s actions, arguing that his love for Dhoni is a personal choice.
Meanwhile, on the field, CSK emerged victorious over KKR by 7 wickets, thanks to a stellar performance by Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja claimed three wickets for 18 runs, restricting KKR to 137 for 9. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad then guided CSK to victory with an unbeaten 67, earning him the Player of the Match award.
Dhoni, who batted at number 5, faced only three balls and scored one run. Despite his limited contribution, his presence on the field continues to captivate fans and inspire awe.
