Jasprit Bumrah Becomes Brand Ambassador for American Pistachios
American Pistachio Growers (APG) has appointed Jasprit Bumrah, India’s star pace bowler, as its brand ambassador for the 2024-25 season. This partnership aims to promote the nutritional benefits of California-grown American pistachios.
Garth Thorburn, Minister Counselor for Agriculture at the US Embassy in India, praised Bumrah’s commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, making him an ideal ambassador for APG. He emphasized the strong bond between the US and India, particularly in the pistachio industry, where many growers in California are of Indian origin.
Bumrah expressed his delight in partnering with APG, recognizing the importance of nutrition for athletes. He highlighted the protein and healthy fats in pistachios, which provide sustained energy throughout the day.
Dr. Siddhant Bhargava, a renowned nutritionist, emphasized the nutritional value of American pistachios for athletes. He explained that they are rich in antioxidants, complete protein, beneficial fats, and fiber, supporting peak performance and overall health.
