Samit Dravid Makes Maharaja Trophy Debut, Following in Father’s Footsteps
When Mysore Warriors faced off against Namma Shivamogga in the Maharaja Trophy, fans were treated to a glimpse of the next generation of cricketing talent as Samit Dravid, son of legendary Indian batsman Rahul Dravid, made his debut.
Slotted at No. 4 in the batting order, Samit’s debut outing was not as memorable as his father’s, scoring only 7 runs. However, his presence on the field generated immense excitement among fans, who took to social media to express their support.
Despite the rain interrupting Shivamogga’s run-chase, Mysore emerged victorious by 7 runs (DLS method), having posted a competitive 159 for 8 on the board.
