Arsenal’s relentless attack began early, with Leandro Trossard scoring in the 5th minute after Chelsea’s defense failed to contain him. Despite Chelsea’s attempts to level the score, Arsenal remained in control, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard creating numerous chances.

Chelsea’s defense proved vulnerable throughout the match, allowing Arsenal to score three more goals in quick succession. Ben White scored in the 52nd minute, followed by Kai Havertz in the 57th minute. Saka added another goal in the 62nd minute, and White completed the rout in the 70th minute.

Chelsea’s attack, led by Joao Felix and Raheem Sterling, failed to make an impact, with only one shot on target throughout the match. Arsenal, on the other hand, had nine shots on target, highlighting their superiority in both attack and defense.

The victory sends a clear message to Manchester City and Liverpool, Arsenal’s main title rivals, that they are determined to lift the trophy this season. Chelsea, meanwhile, must regroup and focus on securing a Europa League spot.

FC Goa has a strong record against Chennaiyin FC, having won five of their last six matches against them and keeping a clean sheet in four of those victories. FC Goa has now won four matches in a row, and their last longer run like this was a stretch of five matches from January-February 2020. Their 52 strikes against Chennaiyin FC are the most goals that a team has netted against any opposition in the ISL. They put up an absolute show in the last match, and one can expect similar fireworks, or at least intent to pull off the same in the forthcoming fixture as well.

Prior to their defeat in the last game against the Gaurs, Chennaiyin FC had scored at least two goals or more in each of their three matches in the ISL.

Chennaiyin FC has often brought their A-game to the table in the knockouts, having won six playoffs matches in the tournament, which is the joint-highest amongst all teams along with Bengaluru FC (6).

Saha was admitted to the Narayana Cardiac Hospital in Bengaluru due to severe health complications. He underwent open heart surgery but suffered multiple organ failure and was placed on life support. His condition deteriorated over the next few days, leading to his untimely demise.

The woman requested time before proceeding further with her complaint. “She made a verbal complaint and despite not doing it in writing and not pressing for charges, the ICC escalated the matter and the committee met to discuss the issue. She has sought time to decide on whether to press charges or not,” an AIFF source told PTI.

The ICC is expected to submit a report on the matter within a few days. The AIFF has been plagued by controversies lately, including accusations of corruption against its President Kalyan Chaubey. The national men’s team’s recent shocking loss to an under-strength Afghanistan in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match has further compounded the federation’s woes.

The AIFF constituted the ICC in January under the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013. The committee is responsible for investigating and addressing complaints of sexual harassment within the organization.

The allegations of harassment come at a time when the AIFF is facing scrutiny from various quarters. The Supreme Court has appointed a Committee of Administrators (CoA) to oversee the federation’s operations. The CoA is tasked with implementing reforms and ensuring transparency in the AIFF’s functioning.

The AIFF has not yet issued an official statement on the harassment allegations. However, the incident has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of women employees within the organization. It remains to be seen how the AIFF will handle the matter and whether it will take appropriate action to address the allegations.
