However, the innings gained momentum thanks to Amelia Kerr (39 not out off 23 balls) and Sajeevan Sajana (22 not out off 14 balls), who added 43 runs in the final 4.2 overs.

MI’s innings began with a shaky start as Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Mathews were dismissed within the first four overs by Chamari Athapaththu. Sciver-Brunt played aggressively, hitting eight boundaries, while Harmanpreet played a more cautious role.
