West Ham United snatched a dramatic 2-1 victory over Manchester United in a pulsating Premier League encounter at the London Stadium on Sunday. The Hammers, who had endured a difficult start to the season, rallied from behind to secure their first win in four league games.

The second half was a different story, with West Ham showing more attacking intent. They were rewarded for their efforts in the 74th minute when Crysencio Summerville slid in to convert Danny Ings’ scuffed shot.
Manchester United responded quickly, with Casemiro heading home from close range just seven minutes later. The Brazilian midfielder’s goal silenced the home crowd, but their joy was short-lived.
In the dying minutes of the game, West Ham were awarded a penalty after a lengthy VAR review showed that Matthijs de Ligt had clipped the leg of Danny Ings. Jarrod Bowen stepped up to take the spot-kick and coolly slotted it home to secure all three points for the Hammers.
The victory lifted West Ham to 13th in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester United, who remain in 14th place.
