England’s star allrounder Sam Curran has become the most expensive IPL signing of all time. Punjab Kings bought the all-rounder for Rs. 18.50 crores.
The all-rounder was expected to go big but becoming the most expensive IPL buy was shocking. The English all-rounder was the “Man of the Tournament” at the 2022 T20 World Cup. Curran had taken 13 wickets in 6 games with a fifer against Afghanistan in the group stage match.

After the auction ended, Curran tweeted, “Back to where it all started! Looking forward to it 🦁”. Sam Curran was a part of Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2019 season.
Additionally, Ben Stokes and Cameron Green were among the expensive signings. Ben Stokes was sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 16.25 crores. While Mumbai Indians bought Cameron Green for Rs. 17.50 crores.
