Rafael Nadal and his wife María Francisca Perelló were recognized with the Laureus Sport for Good Award for their work with Fundación Rafa Nadal. The foundation supports over 1,000 vulnerable young people in Spain and India through sports and education programs.

Other notable honorees included Spanish soccer star Aitana Bonmati as Sportswoman of the Year, the Spanish Women’s National Football Team as Team of the Year, and American gymnastics star Simone Biles as Comeback of the Year.
