When it comes to winning titles in the IPL, Rohit Sharma stands tall as the most successful player in the tournament’s history. He has lifted the coveted trophy a remarkable six times, including once as a player with the Deccan Chargers in 2009 and subsequently as captain of the Mumbai Indians five times. Rohit’s leadership skills and exceptional batting performances played a crucial role in leading his team to victory in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. Even in his early days in the IPL, Rohit’s contribution to Deccan’s triumph in 2009 cannot be overlooked, as he played a pivotal cameo of 24 in the final that helped his team secure the title.

During the Mumbai Indians‘ victorious campaign in 2013, Rohit Sharma was in scintillating form, scoring an impressive 583 runs in 19 matches. In the following year, he continued to dominate the IPL with the bat, amassing 482 runs. Rohit’s exceptional performances did not go unnoticed as he was awarded the Player of the Final in 2015 for his blazing knock of 50 off just 26 balls. Despite battling a hamstring injury during the 2020 edition of the IPL, Rohit rose to the occasion once again, top-scoring in the final with an impressive 68 as the Mumbai Indians chased down a target of 157 against the Delhi Capitals. The 36-year-old’s contributions in crucial matches have been a key factor in Mumbai’s success in the IPL.

Rohit Sharma’s leadership skills have been instrumental in the Mumbai Indians’ success in the IPL. Under his captaincy, MI has emerged as the league’s most successful franchise, winning the title a record five times. Rohit’s ability to read the game and make strategic decisions at crucial moments has won him a lot of plaudits. He has shown remarkable leadership qualities, bringing out the best in his team members and instilling a winning mindset. His calm and composed approach under pressure situations has earned him the respect of fellow players and fans alike. It is no surprise that Rohit is considered one of the greatest captains in the history of the IPL.

Hardik Pandya (5 times)

Hardik Pandya proved his mettle as a leader in the IPL 2022 season when he led Gujarat Titans to their maiden championship, defeating Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in a one-sided final in Ahmedabad. The 28-year-old all-rounder played a crucial role with both bat and ball, showcasing his exceptional skills to guide his team to victory. This was Hardik’s first IPL trophy as a captain, but he is no stranger to winning championships, having been part of the Mumbai Indians squad that lifted the trophy a record five times. Hardik’s ability to perform under pressure situations and lead his team with confidence has earned him the respect of his peers and fans alike. His success as a captain in the IPL further cements his position as one of the most dynamic all-rounders in modern-day cricket.

Hardik Pandya’s association with the Mumbai Indians has been a fruitful one, with the all-rounder being an integral part of the core group of players. He has played a crucial role in Mumbai’s IPL success, lifting the trophy with them in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. Despite not being at his best in the 2015 season, Hardik Pandya continued to work hard and improve his game. In 2017, he scored 250 runs, and in the 2019 season, he had a fantastic all-around performance, scoring 402 runs and picking up 14 wickets as MI won the title for the fourth time. Hardik’s contributions with both bat and ball have been vital in Mumbai’s dominance in the IPL, and he has proven to be a match-winner on several occasions.

Kieron Pollard (5 times)

Kieron Pollard was a seasoned campaigner in the Indian Premier League (IPL), having won five championships with the Mumbai Indians and two more in the Champions League. He is considered one of the most valuable players in the league due to his all-around abilities as a hard-hitting batsman and a reliable medium-fast bowler. With 3915 runs to his name in both the IPL and the now-defunct Champions League T20, Pollard is the second-highest run-scorer for the Mumbai Indians. Only Rohit Sharma, the current captain of the team, has scored more runs for the franchise. Pollard’s contribution to the team’s success has been immense, both on and off the field, as he remained a vital cog in their quest for more IPL glory.

When it comes to hitting sixes, Kieron Pollard is in a league of his own as far as Mumbai Indians are concerned. He leads the charts for the most sixes hit by any MI player, having smashed 223 of them in his IPL career. His captain, Rohit Sharma, is a distant second with 189 sixes to his name. Pollard’s impact on the team’s batting is further highlighted by his impressive strike rate of 147.32, which is the second-highest for any MI player (minimum 300 balls faced). Only Hardik Pandya has a better strike rate than Pollard, with a staggering 153.91. Pollard’s power-hitting abilities and ability to accelerate the scoring rate made him a force to be reckoned with in any format of the game, and he proved to be a game-changer for the Mumbai Indians on numerous occasions.

Kieron Pollard’s batting prowess was not limited to hitting sixes and maintaining a high strike rate. He made significant contributions with the bat for Mumbai Indians, including memorable innings in the IPL where he recorded the second-fastest fifty for the team. In a match against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2016, Pollard reached the fifty-run mark in just 17 balls, which is the second-fastest for any Mumbai Indians player. The record for the fastest fifty for MI, however, belongs to Ishan Kishan, who achieved the feat in just 16 balls. Pollard’s ability to score quick runs and turn the game in his team’s favor has made him an invaluable asset for the Mumbai Indians, and his records and performances speak volumes about his prowess as a batsman.

Jasprit Bumrah (5 times)

Jasprit Bumrah’s journey with Mumbai Indians began in 2013, the year the franchise won its first IPL championship. Although he made an impressive start, claiming three wickets in his debut match, he only played one more game that season. In 2015, he featured in only four matches, taking three wickets. However, in the last three seasons where MI emerged victorious, Bumrah played a crucial role. He was instrumental in their triumph in 2017, 2019, and 2020, claiming 20, 19, and 27 wickets respectively. His ability to bowl with pace, accuracy, and variations has made him a potent weapon in Mumbai’s bowling attack. Bumrah’s contributions have been vital in Mumbai’s success in the IPL, and he has established himself as one of the premier fast bowlers in world cricket.

In the IPL finals, Jasprit Bumrah has time and again proven his worth with some brilliant performances. In the 2017 final against Rising Pune Supergiant, Bumrah took 2 wickets for 26 runs, playing a crucial role in MI’s one-run victory in a nail-biting finish. In the 2019 final against Chennai Super Kings, he was awarded the Player of the Final for his sensational figures of 2 wickets for just 14 runs, helping MI clinch another one-run win. Although he went wicketless in the 2020 final against Delhi Capitals, he conceded only 28 runs in his four overs, putting up a fantastic show with his impeccable accuracy and variations. Bumrah’s ability to deliver under pressure and his exceptional skillset make him a valuable asset to the Mumbai Indians, and one of the top bowlers in the IPL.

Ambati Rayudu (5 times)

Ambati Rayudu has achieved the feat of winning the IPL with both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Rayudu has been a part of the Mumbai squad that clinched the trophy thrice in 2013, 2015, and 2017, and also played a crucial role in CSK’s title-winning campaigns in 2018 and 2021. In the 2013 final against CSK, Rayudu played a vital inning of 37, while his unbeaten 36 off 24 balls in the 2015 summit clash against the same opponents helped MI lift their second IPL trophy. Rayudu’s consistent performances with both bat and gloves have made him a critical part of any team he plays for, and his success with two different franchises is a testament to his skill and adaptability.

In the 2018 IPL season, Ambati Rayudu played a crucial role in Chennai Super Kings‘ title-winning campaign. The 37-year-old had a stellar season, scoring a total of 602 runs at an impressive average of 43 and a strike rate of 149.75. Rayudu’s brilliant form was highlighted by his outstanding century against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) during the tournament. The following year, Rayudu contributed 257 runs in 16 matches for CSK, including two half-centuries, further cementing his status as a reliable and consistent performer in the IPL. His impressive batting performances have often been the difference between victory and defeat for his team, making him a valuable asset to any squad.

Aditya Tare (5 times)

Aditya Tare’s name on the list may come as a surprise to some, but the 34-year-old cricketer has achieved notable success in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Tare has been a part of Mumbai’s IPL-winning team four times, in 2013, 2015, 2019, and 2020, and also played a crucial role in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s championship victory in 2016. Tare who represented Mumbai in domestic cricket and during the 2013 IPL season, he scored 123 runs in five matches, including a top score of 59.

Although Aditya Tare has won four IPL titles with Mumbai and Sunrisers Hyderabad, his role was limited in some of those championship campaigns. In 2015, he played only a few matches, and in both 2019 and 2020, he did not get a chance to play at all. Similarly, during SRH’s 2016 victory, Tare was part of the team but only played in three matches. However, Tare made a significant impact in the 2014 season when he smashed a last-ball six against Rajasthan Royals, securing Mumbai’s spot in the playoffs. In total, Tare has played in 35 IPL matches, scoring 339 runs at a strike rate of 124.17.

Erling-Haaland-goals

Erling Haaland sets a new Premier League record

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has created a new record in the English Premier League. The Norwegian scored his record-breaking 35th Premier League goal of the season to help secure a 3-0 victory against West Ham United that sent his side back to the top of the Premier League table.

Haaland’s 35th top-flight goal of the season came via a deft finish in the second half of a 3-0 win against the Hammers that sent Manchester City back to the top of the league. He was given a guard of honor by his teammates, boss Pep Guardiola, and the club’s backroom staff after the final whistle at Etihad Stadium.

Haaland, who has been prolific for Manchester City this entire season, has surpassed the previous best mark held by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer. In a post-match interview, the star striker said, “It’s a special night and a special moment. I’m really happy and proud.”

He further stated, “It feels amazing and I’m really happy and I’m also happy for the three points.” The Norwegian has another five games to add to his tally.

Haaland, in his debut season in English football, has set the new marker in just his 31st game of the year. His 35 goals are also the most by a player in a single campaign in the English top division since Ron Davies scored 37 for Southampton in 1966-67, while Dixie Dean boasts the record with 60 in 39 games for Everton in 1927-28.

Famous IPL cricketers who haven’t represented India in T20Is

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been a breeding ground for some of the world’s best T20 cricketers over the years. While many players have gone on to represent their countries in T20Is after making a mark in the IPL, there are a few who have been unlucky in that regard.

Over the years, the IPL has produced a plethora of talented cricketers who have gone on to represent their countries in T20Is. However, there are still a few players who have not been able to break into the Indian T20I team, despite their consistent performances in the league.

These players have proven their worth time and again in the IPL, with some of them even becoming fan favorites due to their match-winning performances. Despite their popularity and success in the IPL, they continue to wait for their chance to represent India in the shortest format of the game. In this article, we will shed light on some of these players and take a look at their performances in the IPL.

The IPL has undoubtedly become one of the most prestigious T20 leagues in the world, attracting some of the biggest names in cricket from across the globe. With intense competition and high stakes, the league has served as an excellent platform for young and talented cricketers to showcase their skills and make a name for themselves. However, despite their outstanding performances in the IPL, there are a few Indian cricketers who are yet to receive their call-up to the national T20I team.

The reasons behind their exclusion from the national team could vary, ranging from a highly competitive selection process to the presence of established players on the team. Nevertheless, the IPL has played a significant role in shaping the careers of these cricketers and has helped them gain recognition as some of the best T20 players in the country. In this article, we will take a look at six famous IPL cricketers who have not yet represented India in T20Is, despite their impressive performances in the league.

Famous IPL cricketers who haven’t represented India in T20Is

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal, the current holder of the Orange Cap in IPL 2023, is a promising young talent in Indian cricket who has been making waves with his impressive performances. At just 21 years old, he has already established himself as one of the top players in the tournament and has the potential to represent India at the highest level in the future. With his aggressive style of play, Jaiswal could be a perfect replacement for Rohit Sharma in the T20I circuit and form a formidable opening partnership with Shubman Gill.

In the ongoing IPL 2023, Jaiswal has been in sensational form, becoming the fourth youngest player to score a century in the tournament during Rajasthan Royals’ match against Mumbai Indians. He has scored a total of 428 runs in just nine games at an impressive average of 47.55 and a blistering strike rate of 159.70. With such consistent performances, Jaiswal has certainly made a strong case for a call-up to the Indian team and could be a valuable addition to the national squad in the future.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s journey in cricket is truly an inspiration for everyone, especially those coming from modest backgrounds. His rise to become one of the most promising young talents in Indian cricket is a testament to his hard work, perseverance, and dedication to the game.

Jaiswal’s story is one of struggle, as he had to overcome numerous challenges to make his mark in the world of cricket. He had to endure the hardships of living on the streets of Mumbai, where he sold panipuri to make ends meet. Despite the difficult circumstances, he never gave up on his dreams of playing cricket at the highest level. Jaiswal’s talent was evident from an early age, and he honed his skills by practicing in the local grounds of Mumbai. He went on to play for various clubs and teams in the city, and his consistent performances caught the attention of the selectors.

His breakthrough came in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he scored 564 runs in just six matches, including a double century. His performances in the tournament earned him a place in the Rajasthan Royals squad for IPL 2020. In his debut IPL season, Jaiswal showed glimpses of his talent, and in the current season of IPL 2023, he has been a revelation, showcasing his full range of skills with the bat.

Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal is a prolific Indian opener who has had a successful career in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has been a consistent performer for his IPL franchise and has even been a part of the Indian T20 squad in the past, but has not yet played a T20I for India.

There could be various reasons behind Agarwal not being able to make his T20I debut for India. One reason could be the intense competition for a place in the Indian T20 squad, with several established and talented players vying for a spot in the team. India has a wealth of top-order batting talent, which means that Agarwal has to compete with the likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Shikhar Dhawan for a place in the team.

Another reason could be Agarwal’s style of play, which may not be ideally suited for T20 cricket. While he is a technically sound batsman and a good striker of the ball, his strike rate in T20s has been slightly lower than some of his counterparts. Additionally, Agarwal has not been a regular feature in domestic T20 leagues outside the IPL, which may have hindered his chances of being selected for the national T20 squad.

Despite his absence from the national T20 team, Agarwal remains a valuable asset to his IPL franchise and has been a consistent performer in the league. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to break into the Indian T20I team in the future, but his impressive performances in domestic cricket and the IPL suggest that he could be a valuable addition to the team.

Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh’s extraordinary performance in the IPL 2023 has established him as one of the most valuable players for KKR. His remarkable hitting ability and consistent form have played a pivotal role in KKR’s success this season.

His sensational knock of five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal in the last over to win the match for KKR against GT will be remembered as one of the greatest moments in IPL history. This feat has cemented Rinku Singh’s place in the pantheon of IPL legends, and his name will be remembered for years to come.

Rinku Singh’s outstanding numbers in the current season are a testament to his skill and tenacity. He has already scored 270 runs in just nine innings, with an impressive average of 54.00 and a phenomenal strike rate of 151.69. His ability to find gaps and hit boundaries with ease has made him a force to be reckoned with, and he has been a crucial cog in KKR’s batting lineup.

As the IPL 2023 season progresses, Rinku Singh will undoubtedly continue to be a key player for KKR. His consistency and big-hitting ability make him a nightmare for opposing bowlers, and he will be looking to guide KKR to their third IPL title. The future looks bright for Rinku Singh, and his performances will undoubtedly create room for him in the Indian setup soon.

Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly is a former Indian cricket captain and one of the most successful opening batsmen in Indian cricket history. He is credited with transforming the Indian cricket team as captain, leading them to several notable victories at home and abroad. Despite his immense contributions to Indian cricket, Ganguly never played a T20I for India.

One of the main reasons for Ganguly’s absence from the Indian T20I team is the timing of his retirement from international cricket. T20 cricket became popular only towards the end of his career, and he announced his retirement from international cricket in 2008, just before the inaugural T20 World Cup. Additionally, Ganguly’s style of play was better suited for the longer formats of the game, and he was known for his patience and ability to build innings.

Another reason for Ganguly’s absence from the Indian T20I team could be the presence of other established and talented players. When T20 cricket gained popularity in India, India had a strong pool of players to choose from, and Ganguly had to compete with younger and more agile players for a place in the team. Additionally, the selectors may have opted for players better suited to the demands of the T20 format, such as explosive batsmen and agile fielders.

Despite not playing T20Is for India, Ganguly’s contributions to Indian cricket remain unparalleled, and he is regarded as one of the greatest captains in Indian cricket history. His aggressive leadership style and astute cricketing mind have inspired a generation of cricketers and laid the foundation for India’s success in the 21st century.

Wriddhiman Saha

Wriddhiman Saha is a highly skilled Indian wicketkeeper-batsman who has represented India in Test and ODI cricket. However, he has not played a T20I for India despite his impressive performances in domestic T20 cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL).

One reason for Saha’s absence from the Indian T20I team could be the strong competition for a place in the team. India has a wealth of top-order batting talent, and with the likes of Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant vying for the wicketkeeper-batsman spot in the team, Saha has found it challenging to break into the T20I squad.

Another reason could be Saha’s style of play, which may not be ideally suited for the demands of T20 cricket. Saha is known for his solid technique and patient approach, which is better suited for the longer formats of the game. While he has shown glimpses of his T20 skills in the IPL, he has not been able to consistently replicate his performances at the international level.

Additionally, Saha has not been a regular feature in domestic T20 leagues outside the IPL, which may have hindered his chances of being selected for the national T20 squad. The selectors may prefer players who have performed well in multiple T20 leagues and have experience playing in different conditions.

Despite not playing T20Is for India, Saha remains a highly skilled cricketer and a valuable asset to his IPL franchise. His solid technique and excellent wicketkeeping skills make him an indispensable member of any team, and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to break into the Indian T20I team in the future.

Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia is a talented Indian all-rounder who has made a name for himself in domestic T20 cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is known for his explosive batting and effective leg-spin bowling, which make him a valuable asset to any T20 team. However, Tewatia has not yet played a T20I for India despite his impressive performances.

One possible reason for Tewatia’s absence from the Indian T20I team could be the strong competition for a place in the team. India has a wealth of all-rounders who are fighting for a spot in the team, and that can be the reason why Tewatia has found it challenging to break into the squad. Additionally, the selectors may prefer players who have performed consistently well over a longer period and have more experience at the international level.

Another reason could be Tewatia’s inconsistency with both bat and ball. While he has shown flashes of brilliance in the IPL and domestic T20 cricket, he has not been able to maintain a high level of performance consistently. The selectors may prefer players who have a proven track record of performing well under pressure and in different conditions.

Additionally, Tewatia has not played in many other domestic T20 leagues outside the IPL, which may have hindered his chances of being selected for the national T20 squad. The selectors may prefer players who have experience playing in different conditions and against different opposition.

Despite not playing T20Is for India, Tewatia remains a highly talented cricketer who has the potential to make it to the national team in the future. His impressive performances in domestic T20 cricket and the IPL have caught the attention of selectors, and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to break into the Indian T20I team in the future.

PSG suspends star player Lionel Messi for two weeks

Ligue 1 leaders Paris St. Germain have suspended their star player Lionel Messi for two weeks. The suspension came as a result of an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia by the Argentinian footballer.

As per a report by RMC Sport, Messi’s suspension will be valid for the next two weeks and it could include no chance to play games and participate in group training. Messi will miss the upcoming Ligue 1 matches against Troyes and Ajaccio but might return for the match against Auxerre on May 21.

Messi’s trip followed PSG’s surprise 3-1 loss to Lorient on Sunday, leaving the defending champions with a five-point lead over Marseille with five games left in the season. Lionel Messi played the entire 90 minutes.

L’Equipe had reported that PSG coach Christophe Galtier pledged to give his players two days off — Monday and Tuesday — if they beat Lorient. Instead, the team trained on Monday and had Tuesday off.

The World Cup-winning skipper whose contract with PSG is about to expire soon requested permission to take the trip, but PSG denied the request. The suspension comes at a very crucial moment for PSG, who had hoped to extend Messi’s contract beyond the current season.

With this suspension, the rumors about Messi not extending his contract with PSG becomes even more strong.

feather shuttlecock

How is a badminton shuttlecock made?

A shuttlecock is a key to playing the sport of badminton. The shuttlecock is a cone-shaped cork base covered with sixteen feathers arranged in a circular pattern. The making of a shuttlecock is a complex process that requires precision and skill. The feathers are usually goose or duck feathers, and they are carefully selected for their length, shape, and quality. In this article, we will take a closer look at the making of a shuttlecock.

How is a badminton shuttlecock made?

To make a shuttlecock, the first step is to prepare the cork base. High-quality cork from Portugal, Spain, or Italy is typically used. The cork is cut into small, circular disks from cylindrical pieces. The disks are compressed into a cone shape using a hydraulic press. Finally, the cones are shaped to the correct size and shape using a lathe. The quality of the cork is essential, as it forms the foundation of the shuttlecock.

After preparing the cork base, the next step is to attach the feathers to it. The feathers used are typically from the left wing of a goose and are chosen for their size, shape, and quality. Once selected, the feathers are washed, dried, and sorted into batches. This ensures that each shuttlecock is made with feathers that are consistent in size and shape, resulting in a balanced and symmetrical shuttlecock.

The next step is to use a special adhesive to attach the feathers to the cork base. This adhesive is made by mixing water, glue, and cork powder from the same cork used in the base. A thin layer of adhesive is applied to the base, and the feathers are arranged in a circular pattern around it. The feathers are attached to the base using a machine that applies pressure to make sure they are firmly secured. This ensures that the shuttlecock is well-balanced and has consistent flight characteristics.

After attaching the feathers, the shuttlecock is shaped and smoothed using a lathe. It is then dipped in a special coating made from a mixture of water, glue, and titanium dioxide. This coating gives the shuttlecock its characteristic white color. The shuttlecock is dipped in the coating several times to ensure that it is evenly distributed. This coating also protects the feathers from moisture and wear, making the shuttlecock more durable.

Once the coating has dried, each shuttlecock undergoes quality testing to ensure it meets strict standards for weight, shape, and flight characteristics. The shuttlecock is hit several times with a racket to check its flight trajectory. Only the shuttlecocks that pass these quality tests are packaged and sent out for sale. This ensures that every shuttlecock used in a game of badminton meets the required standards and provides a fair playing experience for all players.

After passing the quality test, the shuttlecock is packaged and shipped to badminton players and enthusiasts worldwide. The packaging usually consists of a tube made of cardboard or plastic to protect the shuttlecock during transportation. This packaging ensures that the shuttlecock arrives at its destination undamaged and ready to use.

Making a shuttlecock for badminton is not an easy task. It requires skill and accuracy. The process involves choosing the right cork and feathers and applying the adhesive and coating. The shuttlecock must pass various quality tests, including weight and flight characteristics before being packaged and sent out for use. The creation of a shuttlecock showcases the commitment and ability of those involved and is a critical aspect of the beloved sport of badminton.

What aspects to consider while making a Shuttlecock?

Goose feathers are the most commonly used material for making shuttlecocks. However, shuttlecocks can also be made from synthetic or duck feathers. Goose feathers are popular because they are strong, light, and offer excellent flight properties. The feathers are also sorted and categorized based on their size, shape, and stiffness to ensure that the shuttlecock can fly properly.

It is worth noting that the manufacturing process of the adhesive used to attach the feathers to the cork base is quite fascinating. To produce the adhesive, cork is first ground into a fine powder, which is then mixed with water and glue. The mixture is then heated and stirred until it reaches the correct consistency. Afterward, the adhesive is applied to the cork base using a machine to ensure that the feathers are attached evenly and securely. This careful process helps to ensure that the shuttlecock meets the high standards required for use in the sport of badminton.

Moreover, the coating applied to the shuttlecock plays a vital role in protecting and enhancing its overall performance. The coating not only provides the shuttlecock with its distinctive appearance but also helps to safeguard the feathers against humidity and enhances its durability. The addition of titanium dioxide to the coating also improves the visibility of the shuttlecock on the court, which is essential for players to follow the shuttlecock during a match.

Delhi boys Kohli and Gambhir fined 100 percent after heated exchange

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have been fined 100 percent of their match fees after an altercation happened between the both during the Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore match yesterday.

As per a statement from IPL, both Kohli and Gambhir were found in violation of Article 2.21, which covers: (a) public acts of misconduct; (b) unruly public behaviour; and (c) inappropriate comments which are detrimental to the interests of the game. Meanwhile, Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq was fined 50 percent of his match fee for a level 1 breach of the same Article.

Last month, when Royal Challengers Bangalore had hosted Lucknow Super Giants at the Chinnaswamy stadium, Gambhir had broken into a crazy celebration before having an intense handshake with Kohli after LSG’s win. The former India opener and the current LSG mentor also shushed the crowd with a finger on his lips.

So this time, Virat Kohli gave it back in style but with a “boss-like” twist. The story however didn’t end there. After RCB’s 18-run win over LSG, Kohli and Gambhir engaged in an ugly spat before the teammates came and interfered.

This isn’t the first time the two have engaged in a war of words. Back in 2013, the two were involved in an ugly exchange when Gambhir was the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders and Kohli was leading RCB.
